More About Storytellers
aspiring appreciation of our
differences
On Sunday, February 11th at 9:15 AM a group of local Portland area residents presented information about the Red Door Project to the members of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. They talked about their “Evolve Experience”. That process “…presents live and filmed first person narratives from police officers judges and Black community members describing their lived experiences at the intersection of race and the justice system.”
As I listened to a part of the presentation I was impressed with the evenhandedness of their approach. I would urge you to take a look at their website. Inspiration for this title comes from a picture of August Wilson. See more about the Red Door Project.
Help Keep the
Willamette River Clean
There are a lot of ways to help improve and maintain the various environmental assets in Clackamas County. One of those organizations that helps in this effort is the Willamette Riverkeepers. If you enjoy being on the water, like using a kayak or canoe you can join other volunteers in restoration efforts such as the Wapato Revival or go on a paddling trip & events assistance program. If you want to volunteer you can send an email to vanessa at the Riverkeepers email address. You will find her email address on the volunteer page.
