visited there in August 2011.
As the show's host I have enjoyed a great opportunity to travel around the world. Some traveling occured in the
mid-1980's to Japan and Hong Kong. However, more frequent travel occurred in 2003 and thereafter. This
includes trips to:
1) The UK (England and Scotland); 2) Mexico: 3) Alaska and Canada;4) Spain, Portugal and Gibralter and Morocco; 5) New Zealand and Australia; 6) Japan; 7) Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau
8) Argentina and Brazil; 9) The Caribbean; 10) London; 11) France; 12) India; 13) Bangkok and northern Thailand and Cambodia; 14) Cuba; 15) Russia and revisit London, England; 16) McCall, Idaho; San Francisco, Galveston, TX, Las Vegas, NV; Pittsburg, PA; Salt Lake, UT, Denver, CO; Washington, DC, New York, and Seattle.
My wife, Pam, and I have traveled many ways. We've planned our own trips, traveled with Exploritas (formerly Elderhostel) and stayed with families through Friendship Force International.
One important aspect of all these trips is meeting and recording our talk with residents, business owners, political figures, hosts and fellow travelers. These interviews have provided me with the opportunity to share these experiences and I want to share these experiences with my audience.
Over the last ten or more years Pam and I have met many wonderful people including writers, artists, musicians, chefs, and more. It is also great fun to explore what people are doing right here in the Greater Portland area. Keep in touch and see what is also happening in the Northwest. I am looking for more travelers who'd like to tell their travel stories.
