Keeping Kurrent Show
Allen Nause, Producing
Artistic Director of the Artist
Reperatory Theater in
Portland, Oregon. He was
interviewed about his
background and
experiences. Allen has just
announced his retirement. It
will take effect at the end of
the current 2012 season.
Great job Allen.
Craig Leslie, an Oregon novelist,
talks about his life in Oregon and
tells us about Oregon's tribal
history.
Mary Helen Stefaniak
tells about herself on her
website. She says,
"Stefaniak, a native of
Milwaukee, grew up in a
bicultural household: her
father was born in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin;
her mother in Gordon,
Georgia. She divides her
time between Iowa City,
where she and her
husband John live in a
150-year-old stagecoach
inn they recently restored,
and Omaha, where she
teaches at Creighton
University."
The Willamette Writers
2012 conference is August
3-5th at the Portland
Airport Sheraton Hotel.
You cope all year with the creative isolation
that's part of the writer's journey. Our
annual conference is an opportunity for you
to meet and exchange ideas with hundreds
of other writers, to hone your craft, find
expert advice, sell your work and get your
creative juices flowing, and to pitch your
ideas to literary agents, film managers, and
editors. Inspiration is what it's all about. See
more at WW web page.
