Pacific University continues to organize and hold winter and summer writing sessions. Each residency is held over a 10 day residency period. This year the summer residency was held between January 6 through 16, 2008 at the Best Western Ocean View Resort. The program consists of daily student readings before their peers as well as lectures and craft talks by teaching faculty. Each evening at around 7:30 students will gather at the Lewis and Clark meeting room on the 3rd floor. Members of the public are welcome to attend. There is no entrance fee. Each evening two teaching faculty would give a reading and then sell and sign their latest books. Wayne Potter, Host of Keeping Kurrent, will again record the readings of each of the writer-teachers. They each read from their poetry, fiction or biographical stories. The recordings will provide new episodes for the Keeping Kurrent. Listeners.
