How Can You Listen to the Keeping Kurrent Show?

Omni Media is a web based service that provides education, information and entertainment to handicapped persons (mostly those who are blind) and to seniors). Learn more about it by checking their web site. Keeping Kurrent airs over this internet connection at various times during the week.

Use the Audio Program Page

First, find your way to the audio program page. It has all the program episodes through the current Season. You can listen to the episodes at any time you choose. You will mostly find two 30 minute segments of each episode. You will be able to listen to these files if you have broadband service (Comcast) or a DSL line from your phone service. You can download the files within about 4-8 minutes and play them on your Window's RealPlayer audio or other player. So, if you have this ability and the time click right here. These mp3 files will not download to your computer.

 

Tune in on Internet Radio

The Keeping Kurrent Show is broadcast over the Internet a number of times each week. It is aired on the Golden Hours Radio Network. Currently Keeping Kurrent is broadcast four times each day between 6 .-7am, 12 noon - 1 p.m., 6. - 7 p.m., and 12 - 1 a.m.

Check the Golden Hours schedule as there might be some future changes. You can look at the schedule by looking at the On Air Schedule.

There is two ways to listen to the Keeping Kurrent Show. First, you can use your computer's internet connection and listen to the streaming audio during one of the above hours. You can listen to it by looking at the Golden Hours streaming audio page (item #3) Secondly, you can use an Internet Radio Receiver. Check out the availability of an Iris Internet webradio. This webradio is designed to talk and it is tuned into 23 webradio channels, radio reading services. However, the web radio can also be tuned into any web based radio program. There are over 10,000 web based stations across the globe. Of course, some of them are not broadcast in English. But, you could just enjoy the music. Why put up with 50, 100 or even 200 radio stations when you can listen to 1,000 or more. Internet has become a unique competitor with satellite radio. Satellite radio reaches about 10 million listeners. There is a monthly fee for this listening to Satellite radio. However, once you've acquired a Satellite radio receiver you may not have any monthly charges.
