The Nenana river is located immediately adjacent to Denali National Park and Preserve and passes by the McKinley Village where the Host had an overnight stay. The river is glacier fed. There was a sign saying that a Grizzly bear had recently been seen by this property. This river and the surrounding territory is both beautiful and dangerous.

Joseph
Millar grew up in Western Pennsylvania and received an MA from Johns Hopkins
in 1970. He spent the next twenty-five years in the SF Bay Area working
at a variety of jobs from telephone repairman to commercial fisherman.
Yusuf Komunyakaa, winner of the 1994 Pulitzer
Prize for poetry "If you want the real news of how America lives, of what
it's like to be here with us, Millar will tell you with exactitude and delicacy
in poems like none you've read before. His poems are published are found
books like Fortune, published in 2007, and Overtime,
published in 2001 and Walking on Flamingo published in 2005.
He is a friendly sort of a guy that you find easy to talk with. You can
