NEW ZEALAND has a wonderful farmers' market just outside Auckland. It's called the Otara Market. It opens on Saturdays at 6 am to 12 pm. It is huge. Here are some of the photos of the market which were taken on March 5, 2005. Individuals with Maori ancestory are markedly present.
Freshly made tofu from a local producer. This woman was very shy and she had a lot of customers.
MORE NEW ZEALAND There is one other well known market in Auckland called the Victoria Park Market. It is located at 210 Victoria St West in Auckland. While visiting this city I attempted to get to this market, however, I visited there at the wrong time.
Here is some information gleaned from the market's web site. You can learn more by clicking on Victoria Park Market.
