The Nenana river is located immediately adjacent to Denali National Park and Preserve and passes by the McKinley Village where the Host had an overnight stay. The river is glacier fed. There was a sign saying that a Grizzly bear had recently been seen immediately by this property. This river and the surrounding territory is both beautiful and dangerous.

There are so many wonderful community marekts. Here are some examples.

 

 

 

AUSTRALIA - The Salamanca Market in Hobart, Tasmania, is one more example of what buying locally has achieved in this Australian City. More than 20,000 visitors come during a weekend. It is a very exciting place with substantial varieties of goods for visitors to buy.

 

 

 

 

 

NEW ZEALAND has a wonderful farmers' market just outside Auckland. It's called the Otara Market. It opens on Saturdays at 6 am to 12 pm. It is huge. Here are some of the photos of the market which were taken on March 5, 2005. Individuals with Maori ancestory are markedly present.

MORE NEW ZEALAND

There is one other well known market in Auckland called the Victoria Park Market. It is located at 210 Victoria St West in Auckland. While visiting this city I attempted to get to this market, however, I visited there at the wrong time.

KOWLOON -

Shopping Takes on Many Forms: There are a lot of places to buy various products. This was a small part of a very large outdoor farmer's market in Kowloon. This photo was taken in late November 2005.
