Wayne Potter, the host of Keeping Kurrent, standing beside a rubber tree in southern India. This was a small patch of trees just off the main road. We were in south-western India headed for the state of Kerala. This picture was taken in late March 2007. The area reflects a more affluent living standard with more cars and attractive homes.

Even though this was India's cool season the temperature was well into the high 80's and quite humid. The hat was necessary to keep the sun's heat from boring into a person's head.
